Philippine Mailing Update

God’s work in the Philippines has always been a step out on faith. We seem to always have unlimited growth on one hand, and yet with limited resources on the other. One area where we constantly see God’s hand and “work in progress” is in the mailing and data entry department.

To date, we have 16,207 individuals in our computer database that have at one time or another requested or received literature from us, and about 30 people contacting us each day for literature or subscription requests through telephone, cell phone, Internet, or local mail.

We have a total of 6,902 Good News subscribers listed for the September/October 2004 issue. This figure reflects a 24.7 percent increase over the same month last year, and a 1.6 percent increase over the previous issue.

One of the most recent developments here in the Office has been the purchase of a motorcycle to help with the delivery of literature around Davao City. Since Davao City by itself already accounts for one-fourth of our total Philippine mail, (the remaining three parts are evenly distributed to areas in Luzon, Visayas, and all other parts of Mindanao outside Davao City), we saw the sense and advantage of doing the deliveries ourselves.
