The Flower Card Making program, which started almost two years ago, has benefited many of our brethren in Mindanao. And now, we are thankful that they shared this program with us here in Manila!
How beautiful it is to see brethren helping one another. I witnessed it during the Flower Card Seminar-Workshop last August 21 and 28, 2005. Thirteen brethren attended the seminar which was conducted by Mrs. Shirly Antiojo. Mrs. Antiojo, a member of UCG Davao congregation, is a competent trainer of this craft.
As the attendees did their hands-on, one can just see the excitement and willingness to help one another make the best designs! They painstakingly followed the procedures step-by-step, patiently keeping pace with one another. Valuable ideas for the craft flowed freely as prepared materials were openly shared!
During the break, they had a potluck lunch where everybody enjoyed delicious food and wonderful fellowship. After lunch, everybody participated in the cleanup. Some husbands who were present volunteered to wash the soiled plates while the participants continued making their own cards.
The seminar ended in high spirits. The room was filled with joy and satisfaction! Everyone was pleased and happy with the results! Especially when Mrs. Antiojo commented that the finished products were very impressive and beautiful!
This activity builds up not just the skills but also the unity and camaraderie among the participants! This just shows what a difference it makes when brethren walk hand in hand. |
