It was indeed a wonderful sight watching brethren helping, sharing, and truly enjoying one another’s company. The UCG Manila congregation witnessed this happy occasion when we gathered together during our church outing last December 25-26, 2005. The place: White Paradise Hotspring in Laguna, at the very foot of the legendary Mt. Makiling.

Most of the brethren arrived just before lunchtime; everybody shared the sumptuous meals they excitedly brought in. Much fellowship followed and continued until the next day. The parlor games played across all age groups spiced up the already-overjoyed brethren. All the 78 high-spirited brethren took pleasure in the wonderful mountain view while taking turns swimming or just lazily dipping in the naturally-heated spring water pool. The relaxing warmth of the water was even more enjoyable when accentuated by the incessant cool mountain breeze until dawn. With much enthusiasm, the youth and singles fellowshipped among themselves in and out of the pool while their parents had their fun-filled videoke singing near the poolside. Many who did not plan to spend the night there found themselves still enjoying the exclusive place with the brethren through the next day!

Everyone left the resort happy, evidently recharged with renewed fervor. It seemed like they can’t wait to see each other again the next Sabbath. Everybody had a great time. With the excitement unabated, our pastor, Dr. Rey Evasco, had to schedule a potluck lunch the next Sabbath!
