Bacolod Spends Outing in Cauayan

The UCG Bacolod congregation had its first church outing for this year last May 11. The trip going to Cauayan, about a three-hour ride from the city, started early. The place was surrounded by the beauty of nature where you can see the high mountains on one side and the cool blue waters on the other. Before going to our exact destination, we hiked over part of the mountainside in order to see the open sea and other islands nearby. Upon arrival at our destination, a private beach owned by a member, thirty hungry brethren enjoyed Filipino dishes and native food near the shore.

After the delightful meal, the children and the young adults started to splash into the beach and had fun with waves. When dusk came, the adults had their share of excitement with the waters. We would never forget how we swan like “dolphins and sea urchins” at the clear and cool water of the black-sand beach. Various fun-filled activities also captured the interest of all. Videoke was one of the activities that we enjoyed most. Different kinds of voices filled the air as we sang at the top of our lungs. Although many would say that the best part of all the activities was the eating, it was the fellowshipping and the time to take a break from the stressful life that made it a wonderful experience.

We would really treasure each and every sparkling moment that we had during our trip. All the brethren that came had only positive comments regarding the church outing. We are all looking forward to the next opportunity to have group activities like this.
