Birth

Charles and Isis Macaraeg would like to share the news of a blessing to our Church family, which is the birth of their firstborn child, Teatephi Isis. Teatephi (pronounced “tea-ya-te-fee”) was born on Philippine Independence Day, June 12, 2006 at 5:15 a.m.  She weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces at birth and measured 18 inches long.  Teatephi is just as her name is described in old Irish literature: “The beautiful one with a royal prosperous smile.” “Tephi” is now one year old.

We are pleased to announce the birth of the second child of Jeb and Laurie Mortier, named Aubrey Lynn. (Laurie is a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Edmond Macaraeg, and Jeb & Laurie presently reside in Fond du Lac City, Wisconsin, USA). Aubrey was born on April 12, 2007 at 1:20 p.m. She weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 18 inches long. Jordan is a proud big brother to his new baby sister. The Mortier family attends the Oshkosh, Wisconsin congregation.

Jerlyn Bacor Gilos, originally from Santo Tomas, Davao, married to Danilo Balana, would like to announce the birth of their first child: Prince Daniel, born on June 3, 2007. He weighed 7 pounds at birth.

Wedding

Daniel and Anna Wilson of Tulsa, Oklahoma together with Edmond and Lorna Macaraeg of Davao City, Philippines, joyfully announce the marriage of their children: David Don Rogers and Cheryl Lynn Macaraeg last October 5, 2006—a day before the start of the Feast of Tabernacles. A beautiful garden wedding took place at the millennial setting of Eden Nature Park in Davao City, Philippines.

The couple will be residing in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.

Obituary

Esperanza Rigor Cuevas, one of our longtime baptized members in the Church and a widow residing in Cotabato City, died April 30, 2007 at the age of 89 years old. She was blessed with a lucid mind until the day of her death. Among her surviving children, two daughters (Edel Domingo and Elvira Cuevas) and an adult grand daughter (Leah Domingo) are members of UCG. Cards may be sent to:

Perpetua V. Basilio, 83 years old, wife of Timoteo H. Basilio, Sr., of Malinao, Banisilan, Cotabato, died June 30, 2007 of natural causes. She was born in Concepcion, Tarlac, on August 4, 1923. With her family, they migrated to Mindanao about 50 years ago. She has been a baptized member of the Church of God with her husband for more than 20 years. She is survived by her husband and seven children.
