Last August 11, 2007, the UCG-Manila Women’s Club sponsored the very first rummage sale here at the Manila congregation as a fund-raising activity.

After sunset, the brethren started pulling their things out to put it on sale at a brotherly price. From clothes to shoes, drinking glasses to rice dispensers, toys to CDs, the members enjoyed going from one place to another to choose the things that they wanted to buy. All were smiling, laughing and telling jokes as they shared their things with one another.

As the activity came to an end, it was evident on everyone’s faces that they truly enjoyed the activity not just because of the things that they bought at very low prices but most especially because of the bonding and camaraderie that they experienced with their brothers and sisters in Christ.
