Church Member Awarded ‘Model Student of the Year’

Audrey Ruth R. Angcos, 22, a third year college student of the Philippine Normal University and a baptized member of the UCG Manila congregation was recently selected as ‘Model Student of the Year’ by the university. Conditions for such a distinction are that the student must be a bonafide student of the university taking up at least 18 units of subjects per semester, whose average per semester must be 88% and above with no grade lower than 80% in all subjects since the first year. The student must also possess good moral character, talent, and good communication skills. She was finally selected after undergoing a series of interviews by a panel that would test the students’ holistic ability, not just intelligence. She is a member of the Dean’s List and also ranked second place in a declamation contest.—UNA
