Passover and First DUB in Hong Kong Report

This year I had the privilege of observing the Passover and First Day of Unleavened Bread with the members in Hong Kong. Seven members gathered in the home of Peter Forster for the Passover service. The following day we gathered for Sabbath services in the afternoon. During the service we were forcibly reminded of the typhoon that was hitting Macau and mainland China. Gale force winds and heavy rain pounding Peter’s apartment walls throughout the service and evening. For the Night to be Much Observed we gathered at the Peak Garden Restaurant for a delicious meal and lively fellowship. The restaurant is located on top of Victoria Peak so travelling to the top of the peak during the typhoon was quite an experience. Heavy rain, fallen branches, flooded roads and drainage spillways with the appearance of waterfalls presented an exciting challenge to the trip. During the evening the rain passed and the wind subsided which allowed us a safe return to our dwellings. For the First Day of Unleavened Bread we gathered for a midday service followed by memorable fellowship and a sumptuous meal at a restaurant in the Soho district of the city. The members in Hong Kong are a small group and always enjoy visitors, so if you ever have the opportunity due to travel in the region, please join them for Sabbath services or a holy day.
