| In an effort to increase our Good News circulation numbers in Asia, Mr. David Baker on February 11 contacted me to get quotes for an insert card for The Good News magazines going to selected countries and cities in Asia (not including the Philippines). [In the Philippines, we have been using a system called “Share the Good News With 3 of Your Friends,” the back of the subscription sheet that comes with their magazine.] These countries and cities are mostly those places where we already have existing members or subscribers. We printed a total of 54,000 cards good for three-year’s supply. We found a printer here in Davao City that could do the printing for us for only about 1 cent (or 50 Philippine centavos) per card. These cards will be inserted into the magazines beginning with the March/April issue of The Good News. The cards will go to the following countries and cities: India (Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata (Calcutta), Agra, Moradabad, and Hyderabad), Singapore, Sri Lanka, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru), Thailand (Bangkok), Laos, Indonesia (Jakarta and Batam), South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Myanmar, and Cambodia. About a week later, on February 20, I sent the order to Midtown printing press and received the cards on March 5. |
